PIPEDA Compliance

ValidGrid AI is built for Canadian homeowners and handles personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We are committed to transparency and the ethical handling of your data.

Our Commitment to PIPEDA Principles

  • Consent: Your consent is explicitly obtained before we collect or process your property and personal data. Because the record is consumer-owned, consent travels with you and is not inherited from or dictated by the builder.
  • Limiting Collection: We collect only the information strictly necessary to provide our service — documenting your home's condition and preparing warranty records.
  • Safeguards: We employ reasonable security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information to protect your data against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.
  • Individual Access: You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request its deletion, subject to applicable law.

Quebec Law 25

While ValidGrid is currently tailored for the Ontario market, full compliance with Quebec Law 25 (including specific provisions regarding data portability, confidentiality by default, and privacy impact assessments) is planned ahead of any future launch in Quebec.

For more detail on how we handle data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
